In December 2020 I submitted a report and legal opinion to the CMA in relation to Teletext Holiday (Truly Travel Limited). This report also contained a great deal of evidence supplied to me from consumers waiting for refunds.
Leading up to my report I liaised with many Teletext customers and wrote various advice blogs, which you can see here:

TELETEXT HOLIDAYS REFUND TEMPLATES – S:75, CHARGEBACK, SMALL CLAIMS COURT
In January I did a live stream with consumers waiting for refunds and, thanks to some of the people leading some of the Teletext Holidays Refunds ‘Facebook’ groups, it was well attended. During the live stream we collated further evidence for the CMA to show: i) what we perceive to be clear breaches of consumer protection laws; and ii) significant consumer detriment. You can see the live stream here:
Over the past 10-12 months I have heard from so many consumers desperately trying to get a refund from Teletext. I have also seen various Teletext customers creating Facebook pages, and fighting the corner of all those affected by this refund saga.
I am delighted that the CMA has concluded that this matter warrants an investigation and look forward to seeing how this progresses.
